Jeff J. is a musician and educator with an unwavering desire to lift people up and achieve goals by means of positive relationship building. Jeff has an extensive background in teaching drums and percussion at all levels. He has been teaching private lessons for almost three decades to students ages 5 through adult. As a certified music teacher, he has experience at the elementary, secondary, and university levels, including founding percussion ensembles at the University of Bridgeport, Fairfield Warde High School, and Morse Summer Music Academy. 

Jeff earned a Bachelors of Music degree from the University of Massachusetts in 2005, where he studied with marimba virtuoso and contemporary-music conductor Eduardo Leandro. He also earned a Masters of Music degree from the Yale School of Music (YSM) in 2007, under the tutelage of world-renowned percussionist and educator Robert van Sice. Jeff proudly endorses Vic Firth drumsticks and mallets and looks forward to sharing his love of music with all of his students.

A Connecticut native, Kenny O. has toured & recorded internationally and domestically with multiple bands since his teens. At home in all American styles and many world musical styles, he enjoys sharing his learned knowledge with all of his students by studying recordings, transcriptions of rhythms, and solos, with an emphasis on improvisation and melodic awareness. Now in his 30s, he resides in the Blackrock area of Bridgeport and performs & records regularly with Hitch & The Giddyup, Alligator, Rudeyna, and many more tristate area groups and international artists, entertaining audiences and demonstrating his acquired skills with joy and passion.
