Through six years and two degrees (B.A. & M.M.) studying the compositional and theoretical sides of classical music focusing on the 19th, 20th, and present century, Alex R. has honed and crafted a musical language reflective in his approach to instrumental instruction. He believes that to truly bring out the best in a musician, you must both understand the “how” of playing and the “why” of music theory in one form or another. This practice elevates both playing and enjoying music of all genres. Alex creatively finds a way to teach the “how” and the “why” of music to students of all levels, from beginners who are first starting an instrument to advanced students, perfecting ensemble and solo material.
